Overview
Penske New Zealand is a major player in truck sales, rental, servicing and heavy-vehicle maintenance. In Christchurch they operate a large workshop, driver support facilities and service bays for commercial fleets.
They commissioned me to produce a film that would showcase their workshop, facilities, driver rest area, and overall operational footprint — with two formats: a standard 16:9 brand film, and a 9:16 version optimised for mobile/social use.
The Approach
We captured the full facility: maintenance bays, heavy-duty lifts, inspection pits, sales floor, driver rest/lounge spaces, and fleet trucks in motion.
Filmed interviews with workshop managers and drivers to bring human insight into the service offering.
Mixed shot types: wide architectural interiors, detailed mechanical close-ups, driver lounge/activity sequences, trucks arriving/departing.
Produced two formats:
A 16:9 film for website, trade-show use and internal presentation.
A 9:16 version designed for mobile social media and on-the-go viewing.
Post-production included full edit, colour grade, motion graphics introduction, dual-format export, and delivery of B-roll for future content.
Planning something similar? Let’s talk.
If you operate in industrial services, heavy-vehicle maintenance, fleet operations or workshop facilities and need a premium film made for both web and mobile-first formats, I can handle everything end-to-end.
Outcome
The completed films give Penske New Zealand a high-quality visual asset to communicate:
Their facility capacity and professionalism
The support service they provide drivers and fleets
The operational scale of their Christchurch base
The dual-format approach ensures they can engage both desktop/web audiences and mobile/social viewers with matched brand quality.
